Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

There are many good books on the market, generally from reloading component makers. Checkout midwayusa.com and cabelas.com. They also offer DVD's which may be a little more helpful.
Start small if you get into it. It's easy to get carried away and buy every wiz-bang gizmo out there only to find you don't really need them. A good IRON single stage press, a set of dies for your caliber(s), a powder measure and scale are the bare basics. Many retailers sell starter kits that contain everything you'll need. You'll also need a solid workbench to mount the press to.
Get at least one, preferably more, reloading manuals, and DO NOT exceed their recomended maximum charges. In fact, I recomend staying well below maximum charges. Saves powder, and wear on you barrel.
Only reload when you can direct your complete attention to what you are doing. One double charged case can ruin your entire day.
Now then, good luck finding powder and primers.

Lead wheel weights work well too! And, FWIW, the composition of copper cents is the same as that used in most copper bullet jackets.
