Hey everyone. I am new here after just happening on this site today. Please excuse me if I am posting this in the wrong category. I just wanted to tell everyone about the beautiful copper bars I make. They aren't for everyone, because they aren't cheap. But they are the nicest copper bullion bars ever made by anyone, bar none. I promise not to come here and spam you all every other day. I just wanted to introduce myself and introduce my product to an audience that would likely be very interested in what I make. Those of you who search ebay for copper bullion have likely seen my auctions, but I just began putting a website up that gives more items for sale and also gives better pricing if you buy from it directly. I appreciate any questions you want to ask about what I do, so fire away!!!

Welcome to the board, Greg! It's always good to meet someone who is working to develop the copper bullion market. Post often!
In the meantime, if you do decide to offer products for sale in our Buy It Now forum or link to any eBay auctions you have, give this thread a read:

Nice to meet you, Greg. Welcome the forum, and welcome to the world of bullion metals. You'll find the atmosphere here very pleasant and the members very helpful. Get involved with the discussions, and you won't be disappointed.
When did your business start? It sounds like you put a lot of work into your bars. What makes them so shiny? Why didn't you choose "Tacoma Copper" as your forum name?
Kind Regards,
Michael |

Hi Greg,
Glad to see you found Realcent. We had a chat over at the Kitco forums a couple weeks ago.
"Best Copper Bars" is a pretty bold statement, but I like the url
There are quite a few copper bar manufacturers here. Michael from Market Harmony is a regular poster, and everybody will tell you that I seem to live here
Other members include Tom from Shire Post Mint, Paul who developed Australian Copper Bullion, and E Cohen from Cohen Mint. I'm sure there are others lurking.
This a great place to get feedback and constructive criticism. It's also what inspired me to start my website.
Hope to see you around. |

Nate, Michael, Ant, thank you all for the warm welcome. Yes, best copper bars is a bold statement, but why would I be making them if I didn't think they were the best? I am sure the other guys who make their own bullion also think theirs is the best for their own reasons. It's all a matter of opinion, and each has its own great merits. I just thought it was a catchy name and yes, a bold statement. Tacoma Copper is the company name, but I don't think that would drive anyone to check out my bars. I am just trying to drum up a bit of new business, and thought a name that drives traffic to the website would be best for now. When I begin to get buried in orders again like I was a few weeks ago, I'll change the name to decrease traffic. In answer to your questions Michael, I started my business just a few months ago. Basicly the whole first month was practicing and experimenting to see just how nice I could get the bars to look. It takes a lot of sanding and buffing and polishing to get the bars to look the way they do. Once the bars are cut into shape, it takes as much as 2-3 hours for each bar to be completed. The smaller bars take less time and the arger bars take the most. Of course, it also depends of the quality of material I get too. My most recent delivery had a LOT of very, very rough material. Bars this week and last have taken much longer than normal to do! I have the system perfected as far as getting the finish I want. Now I just need to work on speeding up the process without sacrificing the quality of the end result. Than, maybe I can actually begin making a small profit on the hours of work that I do!
