Does anybody know where we can find an extensive value guide for "modern" tokens {1900 thru present}? Thanks.

The short answer is there isn't one.
not like the Krause coin catalogs anyway.

"tokens" is a pretty broad area.

Now there are guides for various segments such as:

Transportation tokens
casino tokens
"Good For" tokens (also known as trade tokens)
civil war tokens
car wash tokens
arcade tokens
dairy tokens
lumber tokens
Hard times tokens
sales tax tokens
etc.

tokens are definitely fun and collectible, but the reference material can be elusive (or non-existent/incomplete)

you will have to narrow down what area of tokens you are after.

I just purchased the Official Red Book of US Tokens & Medals by Jaeger Whitman for $15 on eBay. This is what they say about the book:

Since the 1700's, Americans have used tokens and medals to encourage business, lampoon politicians, celebrate special events, pay fares, promote social causes, award the deserving, and scold the wicked. In the Guide Book of United States Tokens and Medals, award-winning author Katherine Jaeger explores these fascinating and collectible pieces of American history, from colonial times to today. Thousands of full-color illustrations, market values, and a grading guide add to the book's reference value. Essential reading for every coin collector and American history buff! Featuring images from the American Numismatic Society's Collection. By Katherine Jaeger, foreword by Q. David Bowers. 304 Pages, 2008, Full Color.
