Harrumph-Harrumph-Harrumph!!!
Which goes to the crux of the Democrats' current political problem.Gone are the days when they could merely bludgeon the Bush administration and promise to seek bipartisan solutions to the nation's economic problems.
Now, in control of the White House and Congress, they are struggling to come up with an explanation for what no one in either party seems moved to defend.
You could substitute a scene from Blazing Saddles for the senate hearing on this debacle:
Governor William J. Le Petomane: [pointing to a member of his cabinet] I didn't get a "harrumph" out of that guy!
Hedley Lamarr: Give the Governor harrumph!
Politician: Harrumph!
Governor William J. Le Petomane: You watch your ass.
We're living in Wonderland, and the media has most of the sheeple brainwashed. If the republocrats had allowed this to occur instead of the democans, they'd be getting gored in the press instead of AIG.....
Meanwhile, nothing will come of this, the execs will keep the bonuses, AS THEY SHOULD! And the gutless turds in the crapitol have gone on record with their indignation.

| I don't like the smell of the 90% tax on the bonuses. If you agree or disagree that they should get them, consider who will be next to get hit with the 90% tax. Perhaps you if you sell your silver or copper. A case could be made against you too for making a profit at the "expense of the public". |

I agree with all of you. This is just something to keep the sheeple's heads turned until they forget that every one of these !@#$%^&*((*&^%$#@!s in congress is thumbing their noses at us and REFUSING to go along with the desires of the majority.
This is no longer a democracy (or democratic republic) run by majority rule.
And the sad truth is it's because so many people have learned to rationalize and BS themselves, they don't know what's right and wrong anymore.
Didn't someone very famous once say we get the leaders we deserve?
Well, some of us anyway......... |
