Hi all-
I know I've been blabbing about how I like only US coins, etc, etc. But, I got some silver US dollars last week at the coin guy, and I saw that he had some CANADIAN silver dollars for sale at literally spot. I couldn't resist and bought 10.
Looking at them later, I'm kind of getting into Canadian silver dollars. What sells them as far as I'm concerned is that they're BIG. I might be getting a couple more. Any thoughts or tips from our Canadian members??

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.
I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win. |

| I got a load of Canadian silver quarters on eBay uk that were under spot, think people didn't know much about them, plus they were badly listed |

If you are buying them from ignorant people in the US or UK, be sure to keep an eye out for the dates. The very rare 1948 dollar is worth $1,000 - $10K+ depending on condition! Personally I really like Canadian silver dollars too. |

| I can't buy them for even close to spot in the junk silver dollar bin at J&M in Vancouver. Glad to see you are starting to appreciate fine Canadian silver wags. |

| I got most of my dollars from the junk bin as well so a lot of them are pretty beat up. I'm not really aiming to be a serious collector, more interested in finding neat stuff for not too much over spot. If I had some experience with grading and more familiarity with price trends I might be more willing to pay numismatic premiums for nice coins. My favourite design is the 1949 with the ship. The 58 totem pole and 67 goose are neat too. The 35 and 36 george v dollars are not all that expensive, might get those at some point when I have some extra money. |
