Anybody know anything about old Sarah Coventry jeweley or have a good info source? My wife has a mess of it that her Dad gave her. None of it is stamped that I can find and I was wondering if its worth anything. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Are you looking at value as per sea in scrap gold value? Or are you looking as fine jewelry? YOu can buy a gold test kit if so and apply the acids and test the karat.

Yeah I'm probably going to have to get a test kit. I was hoping to get lucky and find some info on the SC lines. Thanks.

I've found that if the piece of "jewelry" in question isn't marked someplace with it's quality, it's usually not going to be useful for much of anything except home chemistry or electrolysis/plating experiments.

There's profit if you melt things!!

Sarah Coventry made costume jewelry. It has some collectible value, but as scrap it would be worth almost nothing. Don't expect anything better than nickle, brass, gold plating, and silver plating. I suggest that you do a search on E-BAY as a start to see what it is worth.

Prices seem to range from $1.00 to $25.00 per depending on the piece and higher ($50) for some matched sets (bracelet, necklace, earrings).
