Heads up, canadians: It's time to start hoarding quarters and dimes as well. All dimes and quarters up to 1999 are pure .999Ni, and the price on Ni is going so high that they are now both worth their face value in melt. From coinflation today:

Face Melt ($US)
1968 - 1999 Dime $0.10 $0.0985359
1968 - 1999 Quarter $0.25 $0.2403895

For now, the biggest profit is in pre-81 nickels, but when that runs dry, there's a secondary vein of free Ni to tap in the dime/quarter pool. Ryedale: any chance of getting dime and quarter attachments for the coin artist to pull pure Ni quarters and dimes?

Thanks for the heads up about that. I'll keep an eye out for them on this side of the lake.
