Hi all-

2 minor milestones- My Precious metal coin holdings are now 100% US; no foreign precious metal coins, not even Canada. Also never plan on selling anything from now on.

I feel kind of remorseful that I always sold my 40% halves, but it's bittersweet because I DID use some of that money to buy a gold $10 eagle. At one point I had over 200, all from sorting. THAT was nice to look at!

I used to sell less desirable silver to get better coins, but I'm done with that. I'm just gonna save the fiat until I have enough. Sick of making deals!

On that topic, it does seem that 40% halves are having a renaissance in popularity, while war nickels are worse than ever. APMEX is selling them UNDER spot, which I think is unheard of in the world today. I would get some but I don't like to BUY silver, when I can get it cheaper ways

rambling!

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.

I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win.

Congrats on the consolidation!

Recently I made a purchase of 40% halves as the price per roll was only a few pennies over spot value, and I decided that it was too good to pass up. I know the 40% will take up more space per ounce of silver, but I don't see that as an issue for me right now.

I sold all my Canadian silver a while back (not that I had much to begin with) just because I don't have much time to keep up with foreign coins and their content.

Nickelmeister, I'm right there with you on the junk silver! The more I can get, the better.

Canadian silver is way simpler than US to figure, as long as it's 1966 or earlier.

Silver spot x .6 = Can silver $1.

All the rest are fractions of that: /2 for Half, /4 for Quarter, /10 for Dime.

Easy!

I do believe a visit to APMEX is in order.

Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark
