We have coinstar here in the uk too, there's no silver to look for so never paid attention. But yesterday my brother used the one at the supermarket, and I checked the reject tray, a US penny, Dime, EU 2cents and a Singapore 5 cents

I have been checking the coinstar reject trays since I read about this but I haven't found anything yet, is there a door covering the compartment or something on some machines? The machines here have pretty large open compartments so it seems like it would be pretty obvious to anyone walking by if there was anything in there. Someone mentioned coins on top of the machines as well which I check for too but no luck so far.

In terms of silver people might notice and take it in the USA, but win foreign coins people aren't interested, so there's often foreign stuff in the reject tray or people look in the reject tray, see it's foreign and just leave it on top of the machine, I got a 1972 French 20 centimes coin last night, I really miss the French franc they were all much prettier coins than the euro

Also, I think there is probably less foreign coinage floating around in the USA per capita than in Britain, since we only have two neighboring countries and not 30!

Techically the uk has no neighboaring countries, lol but I know what you mean, when I sort pennies I find a lot of euro cents etc, nice to find the old French coinage, as it's been out of circulation for 10 years and it's very pretty

The UK has Ireland as a neighbor.
