I just ordered two 2009 "first strike" silver eagles.
Offer #1. Universial Coin & Bullion 800-459-2646 vault verification: UINTLRS0109 $14.00 (limit one though the offer said 3) No S&H fees.
Offer #2 1st American Resrve 888-324-2646 vault verifiction: AINTLRS0109 $14.00 (limit one though the offers said 3) No S&H fees.
Both offers expire 03/01/09
I have done busines with both companies in the past for similar offers with no problems but order at your own risk.

They said that their stocks were low now because the Mint was having a hard time keeping up with demand. It may be true or with the increase in the price of silver they might be having second thoughts of letting so many eagles go so cheap. Either way I'm taking what I can get. |

At that price you cant go wrong at $14/each delivered. I may give them another try. They screwed up on my $80 1/10 oz AGE and $12.50 ASE where they lost the order altogether, but I dont hold grudges. |

Seems to be the same here. Ordered on 1/9, never got a confirmation email, and I sent them an email with the order confirmation number a week ago to check on the status and never heard back. At the risk of sounding cynical, I'm wondering how many orders they "lost" for $80 GAE's. (This was after they already told me the price had gone up to $90 for this offer, and said one of the other offers was no longer good at all). |

I just put an order for the SAE and I managed to get the same sales person for both numbers/companies. She recognized my voice / name. Hopefully I will get my coins.
Thanks for the tip!

| Thanks Ardent. The phone call was right to the point and didn't try to sell anything. |

| Offer #2 (cute sounding girl this time): Order complete. Poor thing sounded very exausted from taking so many calls, and it sounded like a telethon in the background (only one per customer due to...). |

| Got my first sales call today. The guy was friendly enough and asked if I was retired. I said, "Nope, I'm a student," and after that it was a simple, "Give me a call if you need more coins," and that was that. |

I think they run those 24/7. It seemed to me that the orders were taken by a call center rather than by their actual office. |

Ok I bit. It is 24/7. You have to read off the vault verification number that Ardent provided. It sounds like a call center, but very professional with a slight Indian accent. I hope I don't get too many sales calls.

I'm wondering how close they track the "one order per household". I think I'm going to try it again and see if they take the order. I can always say the ad said up to three. I'll probably have 3 or 4 of their publications coming by now. Only one sales call (from my January order) and all he said was my SAE shipped yesterday. I'm more worried about giving my email and what kind of spam gets generated.

The first number specifically promised me that they don't sell any of my info. |

| I saw the same ad for the 1st American Reserve in the NRA magazine but there is lots of fine print at the bottom that says: Please read important terms and conditions that accompany purchased, including arbitration agreement. It further states: All coin customers will receive a five year subscription to our newsletter, Investor's Market Advisory ($200 value) at no charge with order. We may contact you from time to time regarding items of interest...etc. Trust me they are not going to give this coin away to you so cheap unless they can make money off you in the long run! |

| I recieved my silver eagle from 1st American Reserve today. No problems. BTW, it cost them $6.75 in postage alone just to mail it. |

I received one from 1st American Reserve today with some propaganda. Ditto on the 6.75 on postage.
My card hasn't been hit from UCB for the other silver eagle offer. I wonder if that will ever happen.
Anyways, thanks for the tip! It is a really great coin. |
