As long as I have been buying boxes of dimes, the loomis boxes have had a stamp on the bottom that had the inspector's number and the date that the box was inspected. Today's boxes only had the inspector's number, no date. Thats gonna mess me up...a little. Its not a real big deal but I don't like it. Anybody else notice this?

Hi there-

Been seeing that around me as well. I haven't been getting any silver if they have the later stamp!!

wags

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.

I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win.

Wags, I just opened my first box with the new stamp and it had two silver roos. Here's what I don't like about it...Suppose I get a box that has ten silver dimes. That's considered a very good box. Suppose its dated Jan 23, inspector # 2121. This gives me the opportunity to go back and request boxes with that same date and number from all the other branches. I have done this before and the boxes I went back to get almost always had good returns...maybe not as good as the first box, but much better than average. Without the date being on there, thats gonna lessen the ability to "zero in" on the box you want should you get a great box and want to go back to find other boxes that were somewhere near the same place on the assembly line as the "great" box.

Yep, same with the recent boxes of cents I've gotten. CWI seems to have changed their stamp.
