Hi all.....
I have not been around here for about 6 months....
I pretty much stopped hoarding ...just a bit here and there for the past half a year. I need to take an inventory...but I guess i'm just over 7 tons now.
I pretty much just ran out of money....
If my job holds out and I close on my refinance....I'll be back at it again.
It's good to be back!

1.5 each + shipping over 500fv 1.5 each +1/2 shipping
If you pick up 1.35 each
located MT/ND boarder.
after Ryedale sorting they are hand sorted to remove canadian then rechecked with Ryedale to insure all copper and count out $50 FV then placed in cloth bags and sealed with #1 copper wire. |

Nice, it is good to hear that you are hanging in there. I was worried for you. I kept thinking the worst since you live Michigan and it has been hit so hard economically.
I have been winding down my penny "operation". I took a couple of months off of sorting and stopped buying pennies. Now I am sorting again, but not buying. I will probably work my reserve of unsorted down to 0 and keep it there.
I won't start buying again until copper inventories start declining or maybe I'll buy just a little to try and get some boxes of 2009 uncirculateds.

| Welcome back. We missed you. Remember, you don't have to be seriously sorting to come here and post.. once you are over a few tons you are allowed to coast and sit on your hoard occasionally. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

As much as I say storage is not a problem....7 tons of copper (2 million+ pennies) do take up some room.....it requires about 7 x 55 gal oil drums. Nearly all my hoard is in smaller 5 gal pails....stacked 3 high on wooden pallets. Each pallet is 2 tons. I have nearly 4 of these pallets...so it is fairly compact. The pallets are made from some pretty stout hard wood. A normal pallet objects to the 2 ton load.
I still have room and want to get to 10 tons. |
