howdy...... i've found a double-die 2006 rev. nickel....monticello is clearly doubled..... anyone seen or heard of this? ....it would be cool if i discoveried this....

Pictures would help but you may want to consult with the collectors at coincommunity.com as well. There are both collectors and dealers on that forum.

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

I agree They would no but a picture would help also... It could possibly be machine doubling which is quite common

Take it to a coin shop or a coin club for others to look and comment.

Not meaning to dissapoint you but if your so called double is just from die wear, which most are, they are really common. Unfortuately also, the Jefferson Nickel is not one of the most popular coins in the US so even if it was a true Double Die it would not be considered anything of great value. Note that the value of coins is mostly due to popularity. Example is the 1955 Lincoln Cent Double Die. Although double dies appear in almost every year of that series, few make the list of anything of value.
However, it sure would be nice to see a photo of this coin.
