Just curious if anyone is buying these as the premiums seem slightly lower than ASE and CML. Opinions?

I got 10 from Bullion Direct last fall when they were $13 each. I've been keeping an eye out for another 10 to fill up the tube, but haven't seen them anywhere for less than about $15 + shipping. I like them. I know some people don't like them because they do not have a reeded edge. I sort of like having something with a face value in Euros

Interesting about the lack of reeded edge. I learn something new every day! I like the Euro value also. Thanks

I just looked at apmex; they're $15.87.
The say 1,50 euros;
Is that 1.5 euros?

I have noticed slightly lower premiums on Philhamonics. You must be logged in to see this link. seems to consistently show lower premiums and more high volume lots (200 and 500) coin lots than other silver bullion coins.

Hi there-

JMO, I'm not too crazy about .999 fine gold coins in general. I like 22kt like the Eagle and Krugerrand- they don't scratch as easily when I jump into my coin pile naked! : D

But seriously, I think they're sturdier coins overall. I wouldn't turn my nose up if I got a good price on Phils, but they're not my dream girl.

Only when they CAN'T have it, ......THEN they'll want it.

I love Cents. If you get an UNC box, you win. If you get a regular circ. box, you win. If you get a zinc box, you don't lose....so you still win.

This thread was about the silver Philharmonics, but I did order a fractional gold Phil at a pretty good price a couple weeks ago. Haven't received it yet. Never thought about durability before. Thanks for pointing that out.
