I've never been able to get these from the bank before, but I asked today while making a zinc dump. They happened to have two (non silver) and said they had a bunch more last week but some kids came and got them. Damm...I wonder what was there since they left behind two common ones. The teller was happy to get rid of them and I was happy to get them at face....lol. My first finds of 2009!

My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

cool.99.9% of Ikes you will get will be junk so you probably didn't miss anything

Buying CU cents!!!! Paying 1.2 unlimited amounts wanted. Can pick up if near Ohio area.

most coin dealers will pay $1.10 per Ike dollar, it doesn't sound like much but if you can get several rolls full it add up.

There are also some rare varieties that can be worth some good money but I'm not up on those...

1973's carry a premium because they were only available in mint sets.

$12 or so dollars for clad, plains and D's.

Oh crap...I sold about 50 to someone last summer and only checked for silver ones but not the 1973's....lol
