I picked up two Indian Head Cents in a box of pennies. I always have pennies around for something to do between boxes of halves. I am sorting now!

Lately the boxes have had an extrordinary amount of zinc. Probably tailings from fb101

1- Box Nickels a teaser....
first two rolls produced a 1926 Buf and a 43P war nickel. Lots of pre 1960's but nothing else like that. Funny how that works.

2- Boxes halves
10- 40%
1- 1964
1- 1963 Franklin
2- 1921 English pennies
1- 2005P
2- machine doubles 92'and 93'
1- pretty gold plated

I think I am digging in a good spot right now. We shall see. I think the vein is close.

My 2 box weekly order has been drying up lately. I have had 3 skunk boxes in a row. one more to pick up today. Fingers crossed! I have been buying a fair bit from flea markets. They are either very overpiced or very underpriced. I think some of these flea market people think gold is $1100 then silver must be up there to! HAHA

But I have been comming across pre-1946 british silver for 25 or 50 cents. people don't know what they are. Even though that particular flea market is within walking distance of the British Embassy!

That's great about the British silver, I love those kind of finds. Don't lose hope after 3 skunks! I have eight in a row several times but have always come back to some great stuff. It seems like a lot of boxes but it's not. There are an awful lot of these out there collecting dust. If you have been dumping elsewhere, different coin service, you may have just hit a situation where coins are being moved and have to dig down a bit.

Luck will change.

Good Lord Almighty! Stone Mountain Half?

Quite a teller tray find.

2-Boxes nickels= 2 WN and a full tube of pre-60's
1- Box pennies= 1-1923 and mostly zinc
2- Boxes halves and besides being at least $2.00 short had no silver and not much else besides 2- NIFC's and two machine doubles from early 90's where I have found the most.

1 Box dimes with absolutely nothing.

When I put them in the counter I was $10.00 short. That would be two dimes a roll.

I wonder about Loomis and will have a talk with the bank today.

I get more free money from the counters than anyone I have every heard of and nearly had half of that back in Canadian finds same day(2- Twonies, 1- Loonie 6- Quarters plus dimes and a nickel plus Mexican and other) And I do this every day at the counters so it's not too hard to take.

I think I will make up some calipers to check rolls before tearing and bring the shorts to the bank to prove it to them.

Not having given up I still ask for halfs that I use each week for my lunch money. Today I got $9 face value in 40%. This is the best I have ever done. It took all I had to remain calm when the teller said, "These are all 68. Not the new ones you usually get."

Silver Monometalism is the most permanent and stable form of money the world has seen. Natural law and history prove silver value is best multiplied by gold and best divided by copper. It is only in this counterfeit currency time when the natural law appears suspended.

Nice EZM! I also got a teller freebie today.

First I got the last two boxes until after Thanksgiving I believe. We'll see.

They had all the markings of being the same skunkage as the last two and I was right. A few NIFC's and nothing else.

When I went to the bank to dump yesterday's halves one teller I know had some large dollar coins in her tray with a Peace dollar showing. I calmly asked her if I could have those and she said they were all mine. Turns out that there were two 1922 Peace dollars, a bit dirty/ugly, and three Ikes. That made my day.

I also found a few more steel pennies with the foreign stuff from the counter magnet.

I also hawk coins from my customers and those who provide me service (or both)

My auto mechanic is one of my alarm customers and today while picking up a van being serviced I asked if he had any gold or silver coins. He laughed and said no but....

He then remembered having an old box of coins from his father in a desk at home, then remembers he has rolls of coins stashed somewhere and a huge old coin jar 3 feet high that he hasn't touched in years.

I coaxed him into not going to the grave (no heirs) with them and to bring them all in for me. I'd make an offer and sort his change, have the culls counted etc.

I do this often and have hit pay dirt several times.

Keeping my irons in the fire.

I will report of course if this pans out.
