| well my bank couldnt order my 3 boxes that i try to get every week so i went on the hunt and was able to find a box from the fed and a brinks box at a couple random banks, needless to say i found no silver. going from finding alot to zip really gets ya down. but i always have luck with my bank so we will see what happens next week. do you guys get alot of marked coins? does anyone here mark there coins they search? |

One box of halves searched. Only one 40% found. Going on vacation next week. The following week my regular order of 2 boes begins again.
Little by little my stash is growing!
I think some of the halves were marked on the side? Anyone searching in the DC area? |

I'm south of you; closer to Richmond. I get the Brinks boxes. I see the halves marked on the side too. I got a couple of boxes that were marked all over the coins a month ago - really disgusting stuff. I've been getting a mix of really great boxes and then some skunks lately.
I get 4 boxes a week from my source bank. It looks like the Brinks organization in my area is opening up a plastic bank bag, rolling the coins, and boxing them up on a bag for bag basis. Based on the dispersion of the coins in the boxes, I'm certain that the four boxes I got last week came from exactly two bank bags. I got the entire contents of the two bank bags (one bank bag was a skunk, one bank bag had 97 silvers in it) in my 4 boxes. |

OK!
After 10 total boxes I have:
190- 40%ers
26- 1964
8- Franklins
7- Walkers from 40-45'
1- Bicentenial proof with mirror and matt in sweet condition.
1-1936 English Penny
1-Mexican silver something? Have to research.
1-Kennedy clad hollowed magic coin perfect condition
17- 1993D what I call uncirculated
40 near uncirculated keepers
12- nice NIFC's (I don't keep scarred NIFC's)
4- Nice 1977D
3- slightly circulated 1999D
1- Off center stamped clad where the rim bends upward
1- Mirror clad that has a flaw with lots of copper showing on the face, hard to describe but wild and like acid marked but no surface degradation..
That's all I can think of at the moment.
I just tubed up the silver and put it away.
The rest goes til next winter when I get serious.
I have over 100 foreign coins, more, from the magnets in the last week.
At least 10 dollars Canadian and 20 Dollars Mexican, a few dollars Euro and then stuff from all over the world.
My foreign collection is now massive because of my dump bank counting machine scrounging.
I have 20 pounds of these since last Thanksgiving.
I got a tube+ of steel pennies this way. Some are very nice and new like.

Yes, this total started with the great box and mostly went downhill to the very end. Actually,of the last three, 2 were skunks and one had crappy beatup coins and two walkers, two franklins and 4 1964's. This box was from a bank were I never have done better that a few 40%. This box was rare. I have the next 8 from my best source. This source has the J/08 coin marker searcher who accounts for the 50% skunk boxes I get from them. When I hit with them, I do well. This bank also has the $2.50 a box fee and I will be hurt with a big batch of skunks. I am an optimist (obsessive, lol)
