It doesn't take much to make me happy these days. Yesterday while getting a few rolls of pennies at my bank I asked about a cloth bag that the woman in front of me had. My friendly, helpful teller offered to give me one and she went to get it for me. She actually came back with two of the old bags and gave them to me.
It made my day!

I know the feeling! Our neighbor gives me the plastic pails that her kitty litter comes in. Just the right size and stackable, too. And free . . . free is good. |

Free is good. We have the kitty litter pails but we reuse them to put more kitty litter in since we buy it in the boxes now as that is cheaper and just dump the box contents into the two pails.
I had some cloth bags (the new grocery shopping type bags that everyone is pushing as being eco friendly) but they just don't hold up to the weight of the rolls of coins and we have ripped several of these bags already. So, hopefully, these cloth coin bags from the bank will last a long time to carry my rolls of coins to/from the bank. |

| I often wondered what everyone brings to the bank to carry their rolls home. I just bring a two wheel dolly in and they give me the funniest looks. I'm kidding of course, however, if I start odering brinks boxes I'm gonna need something or just a lot of trips to the car. Good going on the cloth bags. Those sound great. I'll have to sweettalk the tellers at my bank in hopes to get one sometime in the future. |

| I only handle a few pennies ($50 CWR) a week, but I carry them out to the car in the small wooden crates used for clemintines. My reject halves (~$1000) fit nicely in a medium size cardboard box with the inside seams sealed/reinforced with packing tape. |

With few exceptions, free is always good. Free is awesome.

Having the cloth bags makes me feel like I'm playing on the BIG kids' playground now.
Oooooooohhhhhhh. That clemintines' box sounds perfect. I don't need to worry about anything to carry any halves in as I am lucky to get a small handful every once in awhile.
Everyone on this forum seems to be extremely resourceful and good at reusing things. |

I actually do use a dolly. I have several plastic tubs that I put bags into. No more than four bags in a tub. The tubs are then stacked onto a dolly. I used to get odd looks from the bank employees, but I've been going so long they are used to me. Thanks to my recent mastery of photo posting, I should post some pictures of my tubs. Take care.

| That would be awesome Deal. I really love reading everyones ideas and stories on here. Believe it or not I've got a guy who works with me who takes our daily deposit in every night about 5 pm. He knows all the ladies really well and has started to bring me about 50 customer wrapped rolls every morning. That way I'll get those on a daily basis and I can start ordering some brinks boxes from another bank that appears to be good at stocking those. I'm excited to get my ryedale in the next day or so. |
