Hello to All at the Hoarding Copper website.
I have been lurking here now for an extended period of time, and will be more available from here forward.
It has certainly been an exciting couple of months for Ryedale Coin. I'm sure you all wondered if I was in jail yet or not. Nothing like that. I have been involved with some great people that are still looking into a longer term partnership with respect to the coin sorters.
Of course the Mint's decision to make it illegal to melt, had a profound effect on my customers operation. They were not melting the coins, but were sorting pretty good volumes.
I am comfortable now going forward with production, for any and all interested people. I have to re-establish the Ryedalecoin website and will update you all when it's ready.
In a way, the Mint's decision has put this sorting/hoarding back into the hands of the small operator. If you have access to any larger amount of coin, the machine can do a pretty amazing job of sorting out the copper in the US or Canada. If for no other reason just as a store of wealth, or numismatic play.
I will keep this site up to date as I get things rolling again with respect to ordering and the website. Believe me I have read almost every post on this forum over the past months, but could not promote or advertise the machine while in the contract.
For now...please feel free to contact me through this website Private message. Or at GIM

Have you got a working model yer for a canadian nickel sorter? I don't do the kind of volume to require a sorter for myself, but I know people with money to invest if I can show a profit potential...

Hello Canadian Nickle
I will also put a video and specifications for the nickle sorter. After looking at the post, I went out and configured one to sort the pure NI nickles, which I only have 12 of (laugh) and it separates them very well from the Jefferson 25/75% US nickles. I have not run tests on the other types of canadian nickles such as the new steel core ones. I will do some other testing with different Canadian Nickles. With the different types it may take a couple runs through the machine to isolate each type (alloy) but at ~300 min it's really quite quick, as well as easy to set up. I had the plastic chutes made to sort both the cent size coins, and the nickle size coins (2 interchangable chutes). Also incidently, if you want to sort for silver dimes, it works "OK". I sorted 10,000 dimes and it jammed quite a bit more, and takes more tuning on the electronics, is much less accurate etc. but i was able to get 4 (laugh again) silver dimes from that bag ($1000) and one was a King George VI canadian (%80 ASW). So with difficulty it can be done with dimes, (using the penny size plastic chute). More to come..........Ryedale
