ebay link: You must be logged in to see this link.

This is not my auction and I am not suggesting anyone bid on it.

The auction is for a 16 oz copper bullion round. I think it is pretty cool because it looks like a big penny.

Again, I am sure this will go for way over copper spot so I am not suggesting anyone buy it, I just thought the pictures were cool.

I would buy a bunch if they actually went for near spot price.

Sure you don't suggest we bid on it. That's because you want it yourself.

That is sweet. I would not care if the plastic case was broken. Who needs their metal in plastic any way?

I would not mind having one if the price was right. I would suggest that if someone on the forum was going to bid let us know and I would hope that most would stay out of the way.

I just noticed that his shipping is twice the price of copper.

I noticed that too. Still, it would make a nice mold if someone were to make something similar.

haha, no I was not asking people not to bid on it because I want it myself, I just didn't want people to think I was encouraging everyone to bid on my own auction, or a friends auction or something.

Do you mean a copper round that looks like a US nickel, or a Round that looks like a penny made out of Ni, or a round made out of Ni that looks like a US nickel?

Off topic, but I like the silver one ounce rounds that look like different US coins. I like seeing how many different coins I can get. So far the designs I have are (all .999 silver): a modern penny, dime, and quarter, a mercury dime, a buffalo nickel, a standing liberty quarter, a walking liberty half dollar, a seated liberty dollar, a Morgan dollar, and a peace dollar.

So this thing is at almost $12.00 per pound now if you add the shipping. Any guesses how much this is going to sell for?

I figured it would go for way more than spot copper price because it looks cool and some one might buy it as a collectable and not just as a hunk of copper.

My guess will be it will get a few more bids before it is over, putting the total price including shipping at about $16.00.

Exactly what diameter is a 1lb penny?

I do not think it is as big as the picture leads you to believe it is.
