I have heard of people sending their old electronics overseas for recycling in China or Africa.

1) Is this illegal?

2) Will people pay you money for old electronics to then send them overseas?

3) Would it make economic sense to recycle these here by myself? and what could I get out of them quickly and cheaply?

Currently it is legal maybe with the exception of the monitors. They were trying to ban sending overseas dont know if they ever did

depending on what you have and quanity they will pay you. Right now whole computers are getting about .10/pound more if you break it down and sort by plastic, circuitboards, metal, harddrive and so on

depends on your labor cost, quanity, and current market

if you have enough you can even get free shipping
