So I was at my local dealer. Just want to confirm story, or find out a little more history. I like to know about where things came from...

I bought a 10oz National silver bar. (12.00 /oz) I couldn't pass it up, plus it has some nice toning. I was told this company went out of business some yrs ago, and the were , I think, based around Toronto.

The bar says National, Refiner-Assayers...

Thanks.

I have a small one ounce bar from National and they were/are out of Canada. I think Legacypac posted about some National bars he bought a while back...maybe he knows more about them.

Thx Nats, another question. The guy that is selling these lives not too far from me. I will not and would not pay this price, but I never heard of this company either...

Are there any links , that provide more history about companies like this?

I bought a stack of ten 1 ounce of these bars from a US dealer. Dealer had a whole box of them actually. Sorry no idea about the history of the company. Decent looking bars.
