Poll Question:
If Obama wins do you think that precious metals prices would spike (at least a 10% increase) on the news?
I'm not posting this to be anti or pro Obama. I'm just interested in how you think the PM market would react.

| I don't think Obama winning will affect PM prices directly, but that would just be the beginning. The business community backs McCain more strongly, but I think any spike in PM prices will depend more on the strength of the dollar than what happens on Wall Street to a certain degree. IMO, Obama's economic proposals will do more harm than good to our economy and will swell the deficit even more, and THEN the effects of the tanking economy as a result of Obama's policies will drag the dollar down and push PM prices up. |

I think there is a good chance that some manipulation is occurring because of the election...maybe to try and keep the Republicans in power or maybe to try and get them out of power or just to ensure that the election goes smoothly. In that sense, I don't think it matter who gets elected...just that the elections ends.
Gas prices dropping so fast before an election always makes me suspicious. It is the most obvious most watched price that everybody who votes will notice.
So, it would not surprise me at all to see a bunch of things, including PMS, the dollar, oil, etc do an about face after the election. I think the pressure is there for them to run the other the way. All it will take is someone to ease up on the controls. IMHO |

| I dont think either candidate winning will affect PM prices. Soon as all the dumping stops from the people needing cash to cover margin calls, etc, will get the PM prices moving up.... |

| IMO An Obama win is now generally accepted and has been largely factored into the market. Well - as much as it can be in this abnormal normal market environment. |
