I got a 1918 penny in my 37 cents of change from McDonalds yesterday. Surprised to get that from just two pennies at Mickey D's.

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Hey aboxaweek, if I remember where you're from correctly, you weren't walking around the pond where you?

According to our UK members in this thread:

That 99 UK penny is copper plated steel. You want pre-92 UK pennies.

Deal- it's ok....legacypac already answered my question about the '99 UK penny. It's copper plated steel; pre-'92 UK pennies are the copper ones, apparently.

if you find a UK or penny check it with a magnet, if it sticks it's not copper.
