Im newer to the coin collecting thing and i found this the other day after a the forum member Sanitarium Inmate found one. SO can someone please tell me if this is a double die reverse?

There are two different double die reverses that year. Estimated value is impressive for both, but especially for the first. Congrats!

I'll have to look at it when I get home. The darn web sense has restricted me from viewing all web sites. Mine sold for a nice bit and if your is clean like that then you can expect the same. Nice find none the less.

WOW thanks alot guys. I would have passed it to as i would just throw the 83s into the zinc pile and dump then. And then i notioed that sanitarium inmate found one so i decided to look on the next 1983 penny i found and there it was.Thanks alot for the help. Im probably going to sell it so i can finally buy a ryedale. But Thanks alot for the people who discribed the penny
