Rumor is that we just experienced the biggest up move in gold vs. the dollar since the birth of the dollar. Or, if you prefer today was the biggest down move in the dollar vs. gold in history. It is also significant that this happened during a bottom in gold and not during a bubble, blow-off top...ubber scary stuff. If those dark clouds hanging over the economy didn't scare you before, they should be making you at least a little nervous now.... IMHO

funny the start of the gold spike on that chart coincides DIRECTLY with the exact time the govt announced a bailout of AIG. coincidence? I think not...

It figures-
gold and silver go up before I have a chance to get more
though knowing my bad luck if I did buy some in the past few days PMs would have fallen even further.

Unless I am mistaken, it was one year ago today that the dollar fell below 80. It looks like the manipulation to keep the US Dollar up is starting to break down with nations around the world since they are trying to save their own financial markets.
