Any Coin Shows coming to Philadelphia area soon? I poked around on the web last night and didn't really find anything.

Thanks horgad - the closest one to me would be Fort Washington (45 minutes with no traffic at best, rush hour 90 minutes easily). The others would be roughly 90 minutes to 3 or 4 hours away. I'm surprised - I mean - there's a mint in Philadelphia, and it doesn't ever seem to attract many coin shows. Go figure?

That website is by no means 100%. I bet there are some closer. There are a lot of small coin shows around that are sponsored by coin clubs and they don't advertise much. I guess the best thing to do would be to try and find somebody already in the loop in your area and ask them. Maybe go out to one of those further away coin shows and ask a lot of questions and local coin shows and clubs.

I tried, once, here in Indianapolis to hit up the local coin shows, but everybody I talked to wanted to charge sales tax on bullion so I switched to mail order and never went back.

Good Luck.

Try the typical Google search for your state and/or town (city)
As noted many are not listed in the usual places for some odd reason. And not always even the smaller ones are missing. I've never been able to find out why one of our bigger ones in my area never makes it to those listings. And that one has at times almost 100 dealers and it's every month. Another thing would be to type in coin clubs in your area and contact them for coin shows. They too may have some or know about some that are not well publicized.

Although You must be logged in to see this link. is a good site for shows, it does not always have all of the nearby shows. I use that site myself for PA/NJ shows. Also, ask a dealer nearby, they usually have info on shows.
