Finally got my first 1943 Steel penny. While doing a second zinc sort over a batch of Brinks boxes I was noticing the normal amount of dimes fall into the reject bucket. After the entire sort I hand picked all the dimes out and was putting them into rolls when I noticed that one didn't look quite right. Finally got one! Of course the fire dance didn't produce any "feathered cents", but I'm quite happy with the steelie.

When my wife got after me it sounded like "Blah,Blah,Blah", but now it sounds like "Clink,Clink,Clink". Its amazing what that Ryedale can do for a hounded husband. |

| I have found thousands of dollars of steel pennies so far! I just throw them back. Untold numbers of pennies sorted and no feathered liberties, but I got my only US steel early on while handsorting. |

Found several steel cents over my sorting time. Indians, no.

Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. To date, four Indians have been found off the reservation! The only steelies gathered was a few rolls a customer turned in and snagged by a teller that held for me to pick up and of course at face value!!!!!!!!
Flowers, candy and more are given freely at random throughout the year. The teller line is happy and I am happy!

| I got either my fifth steelie tonight, however the last two have been so rusted/dirty that I would not even known they were steel except for the date. |
