I went to a local back here and asked for $160 of nickels. The lady came back with one Brick and 3 $20 stacks of nickel.
I was kind of excited because this is the first brick of nickels I have got from a back and I need the $100 boxes. The box is sealed by Churchill security and armored truck firm, like Brinks in Canada.
I thought oh boy it is all going to be new but inside where all marked roll from the Vancouver Transit Authority. They have a nice roller must be one of those highspeed ones as the rolls where crimped on both ends and they used custom paper. It only gave out about 11% but it is better than being skunked.
Cool. Every sealed Churchill box I've seen so far has been 100% Plated (mixed dates). Guess they decided to not bust up the Translink rolled coin.

BTW those transit rolls are a bugger to crack. I use a metal coffee can to break my rolls like cracking eggs. Very fast on CRW but these bugger are tight. Two or three taps on the can and you need to really force out the coinage. Nice coin rollers for sure.
I am sure transit authorities would be a jackpot. They deal with coin all day and need to move it.
Anyone else get marked rolls from Transit providers?
