Well the good news is i got a shield Nickel at my coin store for 50 cents and it is in G or so. So i made a good buy. Bad thing is i passed on a 1876 indian in AG for 50 cents again. The coin store is more into Morgans and such so they dont even care about the lesser value coins.

Can I ask why you passed on something that only cost $0.50? Sounds like you wanted it....

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
- Samuel Adams

Why would you pass on just about any old coin for .50?

50 cent is a good deal on any Indian. It is a very good deal on a pre 1878.

`Everybody is ignorant. Only on different subjects.' Will Rogers

"This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the "hidden" confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard." Alan Greenspan, 1966.
