I hope someone here can help me out. I found in my collection an 1850 5 Rappan and 1850 20 Rappan Swiss coins. All I could find online is that their metal content is "billon" which is some sort of PM/metal mix. So I really dont know how much PM (i.e. ASW) is found in each of these coins. If anyone can help, that would be appreciated. Thanks

I *think* that billon is usually 25%-30% silver, with the remainder being copper. Generally. As far as I've read.
Sorry, that's all I know. Oh, and that sometime around 1850, the Swiss changed their coinage, so it would be neat if you had two coins from the old system or the new system. Are they in good shape?
