I picked up this sheet of 5 mark proof 1976-D coins today. They have edge lettering. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them or had some information. I dont remember much german, but I hope to have someone translate the documentation.

"99% of all lawyers give the rest of them a bad name"
They deal with Hans Jacob Christoph von Grimmelshausen, born March 1621 died August 17th 1676. The bottom text reads
Distinguished german poet, author of "Simplicissimus Teutsch" (1668) and other works, whose contents deal with the historical and social background of the Thirty Year War. His work had noticable influence on art and literature into the 20th century.
The obverse of the coin contains a representation of the title picture of the original edition of "Simplicissimus". It shows a mythical creature with a book flipped open. As a baroque allegory this shape reflects the base concepts of Grimmelshausen, which is the exposure of human weakness, folly and arrogance.
