I was bored, looking around on ebay and saw jetco sells lead oz bars! You must be logged in to see this link.
As long as you dont eat the bar, you wont get lead poisoning, right?

I wouldn't suggest rubbing it on yourself either. Us hoarders might confuse one of those with a hotel-size bar of soap. At least that's the first thing that popped into my head. Maybe I'm just really tired |

And 12 ounce bars too. I think Deal collects lead (maybe more in bullet shapes). Seems like one could go buy fishing weights instead. Oh and no licking your bullion ok. |

7 years ago, what was lead an oz? $.00001? |

I'll go back in the archives and see if I can find any clips from seven years ago to see what the price per ounce was. Not sure how many people would be buying ounces of lead except in bullet form, though. |

Bullets, one of the best metal investments. They can feed you and protect you. Even come with brass....

I need to stock up on some more ammo.
I was just wondering about the bars...are they safe? Maybe I should just invest in the bullets instead, can get them closer to spot |

If they are you can bet they're lead coated on a rubber core. They save their lead for American kids toys. |

Lead is safe to handle as long as you follow some common sense steps:
1. Wash your hands after handling lead or wear gloves (perhaps this is an extreme step, but you don't want to accidentally touch any food with hands that have traces of lead on them.) another concern- Ben Franklin noticed that those who handled lead type to print up newspapers sometimes suffered from a loss of sensitivity in their fingers (lead caused nerve damage through the skin.)
2. If you melt lead for your own ammunition, do so in a well ventalated area.
Lead, much like electricity, is relatively safe but MUST be treated with respect and common sense precautions. |
