2 events in the upcoming weeks will most likely cause copper prices to fall. Don't panic, this will just be a temporary decrease.
Europe takes vacation in August - Most of Europe shuts down in the month of August and people take vacation. This will decerease usage of copper.
China will be shutting down production in an around Bejing to clear the air for the Olympics which start August 8. The copmpany I work for has been asked to shut their production in the weeks before the Olympics and until the end of the games. Less production will mean less copper usage.

| Copper sure has been falling a lot lately...I remember a week or two ago when copper hit $4/pound. Now it is at $3.76? Do you have any predictions for what It will go down to? |

Yes - enjoy the limited amount of time we have left - once the copper memorials are gone, that's it my friends. I'm just praying that we have 3 more years or so left, so that I can hit my goal of hoarding $20,000 and then at some point thereafter, cash the hoard in for $80,000 - $100,000.

Exactly. At the moment, we should be pleased when copper goes down, the dollar goes up, the stock market looks like it might not totally crash, etc. The less anxiety in the general population, the less likely it is that hundreds of thousands of people will begin hoarding Cu pennies. |

We are still in the weak season for gold and silver. I was a bit surprised by the strong move in July and now it is being erased. Too bad I didn't act on my gut which was telling me to sell. Anyhow time to hold and wait until late August when things typically start looking up.
As for copper, I am not sure... |

Hang in there, Horgad. Keep looking way down the road and remember that we're not the sheeples who are just looking at next quarter's portfolio statement. |
