I like everyday lately with all my free time have been going to three different bank branches alternating each bank w/ a different day and getting a single box a day of cents to sort.
To my utter dismay today the teller at the bank said they have no pennies and were having problems getting them.
No problem -went to bank number 2--guess what -same problem didnt have, just filled big order was ordering more(it'll be a couple days.
Went to 3rd bank and got only $7.50 in cents.
I have never had a problem getting pennies from these banks in the past- today was an issue.
Is anyone else having this problem or is this an isolated case?

I call my bank ahead, and they put aside however many boxes I order (or order more from their supplier), so when I go in they're sitting there waiting for me.

When I saw the title of this topic, "no cents for you", I immediately thought about the "soup Nazi" on Seinfeld, "NO SOUP FOR YOU!".

Eventually it may come to that. The price of zinc has spiked up some more, near $1.70 per pound. If it continues up, even zincolns wil have melt value above face value. 96.66% melt value when I checked this morning on coinflation.com.

A box of pennies (counting zinc and copper, and with the percentages we've been seeing), and a box of nickels (copper and nickel) are about the same percentage over melt.
