Did not buy anything.

Was looking for some square nickel tubes--need about 100--found a guy who would sell them to me for $50. Wow--can get that many for $35 delivered on ebay.

Also found a guy at the flea market outside the show willing to sell copper Canadian pennies for 25 cents each--had to hold back on that one it was so tempting. (They were in a big bin so I thought I might be able to cherry pick some good ones--before I saw the price.)

We were planning to go to that show, just to look. (We're in Greensboro.) But Thursday evening our dog Huckle took a turn for the worse and we put him to sleep yesterday afternoon. We don't feel like doing much of anything today.

I hate you didn't see anything good, though.

Makes me feel sad hearing from people that have little access to coin shows. Around me in Illinois we have a minimum of 3 coin shows a month within about 14 miles of my house. Even more if I wanted to drive a little more.

sorry to hear about your dog ant.

there are very few coinshows around me as well. I go when i can. I hit up a monthly coinshow up in chicago, it was probably bigger than all the coinshows around me combined.

Thanks, you guys. We are still really missing Huck. He was 13, so fairly old for a Plott Hound. We had him cremated and got his ashes back in a nice container, which we set on top of the refrigerator. It is where he would want to be.

aboxaweek -- 17 years old! I love old dogs. They are just the sweetest.

He's already burned up, what does it matter?

I have never noticed that our refrigerator top gives off any heat. I'm pretty sure it doesn't -- we keep wine up there in a rack and we reach up there on a pretty regular basis. I have never felt any heat -- but now I am feeling kind of .

ETA: I am going to check it tomorrow when it's running. Now ya got me paranoid. ("Ma'am, do you have any idea what might have started the fire in the kitchen?" )

I just know that all of our refrigerators but one are hot on top. The one is smaller and has a plastic top.

Hey, I was hoping you would post again! No heat! It's a Maytag, one of those that looks like stainless steel but really is not. There is an extra coating on the exterior to give it the faux SS look, so maybe that is what is doing the trick.
