When Nelson Rockefeller was asked, “How much is enough,” he smiled and replied, “Just a little bit more.” So what is your answer? :-)

I like that answer!

For those of you that worry about the price of copper or the price of bags of copper cents on eBay.. They used to ask J.P. Morgan.. "Mr. Morgan, Mr. Morgan.. what's the stock market going to do today?" His response.. "It will fluctuate." .. and he was always right.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

I highly recommend all of you guys read this book. "Think Rich Grow Rich"
If you send me a private message ill send you a copy of it.

If someone said they would give me 1 ton in copper pennies or this book I would take this book personally if you use the principles in this book you will have everything you want and then some.

Question back at you Copper Catcher -- how much of what?

"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark

texcattlerancher the quote was dealing with money in general. I think personally you have to see money as a tool and only a tool. The more you have the more will be expected. Folks in general are confused between wants and needs and no matter how much money you have you can't replace love or your health. Likewise, I have yet to see at a funeral the hearse pulling a U-haul. You can't take it with you!

True you can't take it with you. I just lost my little girl to brain cancer on April 23/08. All my money could do nothing.

What I can do is build up a base of wealth built on me getting gold, silver, copper and nickel at below melt.

One day my 5 year old son will be facing a wall of bullion, my house, and my life insurance when I kick it.

I expect he should be worth $1,000,000in todays dollars.

This is enough but hey I want more!

Sorry for your loss. Tragic indeed.

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

texcattlerancher, your tag line is a good one. Steiner, I'm sorry to hear about your loss as well. The only thing I can add to my comments is that I think we all need to remember that regardless of the $$$ we have or leave behind one of the biggest gifts you can give is your time to the ones you love! Also, at the end of your life I don't think anyone will every say: Gee, I wish I spent more time at work.

Many thanks guys. The grief is still with us but it is getting better day by day. She had the brain cancer for 4 years and we beat it twice but when it came back last time we ran out of options.

When we found out, my wife and I asked her where she had been the most happiest. She said "Disney World" We blew $15K on the trip for 2 wholes weeks and tons of toys in early March.

Best GD money I ever spent! We had a great time.

Money does not buy happiness it is only a tool.

This thread now makes me cry.

I have a young daughter myself, and two sons. I can't imagine what you and your wife have been through.

My wife and I don't have much material wealth but we have been so very fortunate with the health of our family.

I am so sorry for your loss Steiner.

My sympathy & prayers too. I think you've proved that when money is used as a tool it does the most good for everyone. (Disney trip)

Steiner, from one father to another, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches, and you will be in my prayers.

How much is enough? Never enough when it comes to love and family.
