I wouldn't be inclined to buy this because I don't trust myself with anything flammable, but I'd like to know what you guys think:

Oh i know how to do that!!!
In science our teacher did a lab on refining silver. it was pretty cool, but you get such little silver from all the work you do its almost not worth it..

Google is your friend. De Re Metallica is still the basic reference in the refining business. Get the version by Herbert Hoover.

First you need an assay furnace and a smelting furnace, about a thousand bux each. These furnaces smoke and stink, so you need to figure out what to do about that.

If you are thinking of recovering metals from scrap, you can use various chemical or electrical methods. Chemical methods involve some very nasty acids, dangerous and hard to dispose of, so you probably don't want to go that way. The best is probably the iShor, sold at Ebay for about $650 if I remember right. Then you need a source of scrap to pay for your equipment. Ebay is a lousy source. Find something else.

Bottom line: the best money in PM recovery is from selling instructions on PM recovery.

A penny sorted is a penny earned!

If you really want to learn how to refine (or assay, buy, sell, etc.), for absolutely free, join this forum:

Lots of people on there are also members of the realcent forum.

Don't waste your money on refining machines or Ebay refining DVDs.
It's all for free on the Gold Refining Forum. By far, it is the best one on the internet.
