When was the melt ban on silver coins put into place and when was it lifted? I'm hoping to use history as a way to predict the future of the current melt ban on pennies and nickels.

Past performance is no indication of what may occur in the future. The silver ban was different.. it occured after the change in composition. I believe it was put in place in 1968 and lifted in 1969. Both the placement and lifting of the ban were because of influence from lobbiests for a couple of major companies to try to maximize their profits from buying silver.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

I think it was put in place in 1965 and lifted late 69. My dad saved up about 5k in silver and cashed in and made some decent profit!

my machine is running!
