I got to thinking about this, most of us on here are trying to stash PM and base metals with an eye on the crash of the dollar, but as long as the feds still ban melting down pennies and nickels, figuring that would eliminate local scrap dealers as a buyer, where else would be a viable medium through which to sell coppers? I don't think I'd want to run an ad in the local paper...
Once the Cu disappears from circulation...I think you'll start seeing adds from coin shops and other speculators telling you to "Bring in your old copper pennies", and " We pay top dollar for all your old coins." The ban will lift somewhere down the road...as soon as the Mint replaces all the pennies and nickels with "Steel" coins and floods the market the "crap".
