I plan on sorting and hoarding $5000 face in copper. If the sorting percents hold up after that, I will continue to sort, but sell and buy silver. What plans to the rest of you have?

| I am shooting for 50K-75K copper pennies hoarded by the end of the year. I only do two boxes a week and if I keep hitting about 31-32% copper, then I should hit the upper range of my goal by the end of the year. |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

Now that's a lot of sorting. I only get 6 to 8 wheats per box. Let's see, 2 million divided by 8 = 250,000 boxes I would have to sort. I don't think I will ever reach such a goal. |

| id guess my cutoff would be when the copper percents got so low that i dont enjoy hauling the zincs back and forth for such a small amount of coppers...maybe around 5percent or so. |

| I actually have 0 copper right now. I sold my hoard on ebay when Silver took a tumble back under $18 and snapped up as much of that as possible. I'm selling everything I'm sorting and buying more silver while it's undervalued. I figure I can catch up on my copper hoard fairly quickly if silver goes back above $20. I'll mine copper during the silver peaks. My CU goal is about $2500-3000 that's all I have room for. |

That's only 100-120 boxes. Maybe those of us who don't have much space could re-think how we're storing stuff. Moving boxes of Cu cents around the house and putting a couple here, a couple there to fill gaps in storage areas would show probably most of us that we have a lot more space than we think right now. You could line the walls of, say, your clothes closet with boxes of copper and fit everything else in inside the remaining space. There are a lot of places that $25 boxes could be stashed that nobody besides ourselves would have any reason to look, so it wouldn't really matter if it seems like an odd place to store copper. The issue isn't how pretty it looks to stash it in any given place, the issue is using every available nook and cranny. |
