I do it for most of the reasons listed above. I like to do it when watching TV. I also sort while my wife is driving.

I picked up a couple for bricks for the kids for a road trip. I am going to make a game of it. Who can find the first wheat, S mint mark, oldest canadian,... That should keep them from fighting in the back seat.

Should I take this to mean you haven't found an Indian yet, Tex? I thought for sure it would be NotABigDeal I would hear from on that line before you.

You know what you gotta do, don't you?

Biting my tongue....

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

HA! In Texas, I think the Feathered Liberty has gone the way of the buffalo, the grizzly, and the wolf; they are no longer found in the wild. But we shall see if a Feathered Liberty may be found WHEN MY NEW RYEDALE ARRIVES THIS WEEK!!! Maybe if I can find two I can put them together and they will produce offspring. My sorting is about to go from approximately $250 sorted per year to at least $2,500 per year. I think I can easily do $50 to $100 a week with the Ryedale for the same amount of time I spent hand sorting.

Why do I sort? -- I am obsessed with finding a still wild Feathered Liberty.

"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark

there are too wild Indians...
there are too wild Indians...
there are too wild Indians...-----still taunted

Ah, that's the problem.. your volume was way too low. Now that you have joined the dark side you could do your new yearly sort of $2500 in a good weekend. Congrats on finally getting a Ryedale. The good news is that the elusive Feathered Liberty coins often come in pairs.. if you find one, chances are you will find another.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
