Eliminating small denominations is a treatment for inflation, not a cure. Want to do a real service to America's coinage? Return the strength of the dollar to where it was merely 50 years ago. Then all those small coins will have value again. Or, we can continue the demonetization dance, just like Mexico did in the 1980s.
