Which types of financial institutions do you use? If there are others please let me know.

Awake, O kings of the earth! Come ye, O, come ye, with your gold and your silver, to the help of my people, to the house of the daughters of Zion, to the help of the people of the God of this Land even Jesus Christ.

Well I'm not going to use Bear Stearns any more!

I use any type of financial institution that might have coin on hand.

Savings and Loan's? They've never had any financial problems ;)

Seriously, I'm pretty new and so far have a single pick up bank and a single dump bank. I've done drive buys at several banks and a credit union that I don't have accounts with, but as long as I can get my 50 boxes a week from my primary that will cover me.

Mainly Credit Unions for me. I have one source CU and dump CU with a free coin counter and one dump bank for 100% zinc rolls. I would occasionally pick up rolls at Wal-Mart, but stopped after everything was 100% copper. Every roll I have seen my local Wal-Mart open for the last 18 months has been 100% zinc.

You say every roll you have picked up at Wal-Mart is zinc. Maybe they are in the copper mining business also. You know Wal-Mart they are into everything.

Some banks and credit unions have a device similar to Coinstar in their lobbies allowing customers to pour in coins, get a reciept and then cash in the reciept or deposit the money amount into accounts. Not all banks/credit unions have done this since this is an expense for the bank/credit union (the coin counting machine and cost of maintenance is an expense tot he savings institution.) Some banks/credit unions only have these self serve coin counters to fight against other banks/credit unions or Coinstar.

So far I have been buying single boxs at various banks. I literally have a bank branch on every corner near my home. I have only had 2 give me grief about not having an account with them. One of the tellers openly stated she thought it was a dumb policy and sold me a box anyways, she just asked I didn't tell anybody. I imagine if I was buying large quantities I would need to open a few accounts.

I dump my zinc at my credit union. They actually prefer it loose when I deposit it. They count it and post it to my account within the day.
