hi everyone! i have been reading this site for a couple of weeks and have decided to join. a few of you may know me from other coin sites. for those of you who do not know me i'm 15 years old and love to collect and sort through coins. i haven't had a chance to coin roll hunt yet becuase i am never at the banks. but in a few months when i can drive i will definatly be buying alot of cents and nickels to search through. i have gone through $60 in nickels before and have found a handfull of older nickels. no buffalo nickels or war nickels yet. i just got into saving copper cents so i only have a couple dollars in copper. i hope in a few months i can really get into this. we have many banks around in this small town so they are not really spread apart too much. i really like this site and i will be making alot of posts! thanks!

Live free or die. Plain and simple.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

Yes, welcome.
I'm only a couple of weeks into this myself, but I'm really wanting to ramp up quickly.
I concur with NABD that it's good to see the younger folks getting interested in this. I can't really say sorting copper is a get-rich-quick scheme but at least ya'll are thinking in the right direction.
And last time I checked playing video games doesn't pay anything. Heck I don't want to think about how many quarters I used to spend at the video arcade.
And to think I could have been sorting them for silver back then!!

Hi !!!! I too have been reading this sitefor a while, and have decided to join. I'm 14 and have been sorting pennies for about a year, long before I found this forum. I usually go through boxes I get at bank and usually get around 17% copper. But i mostly sort to build my collection of wheat pennies. |

When I was your guy's age I used to sort pennies for the wheat cents too. Amazing thing.. I actually find more wheat cents now.. 35 years later!
Welcome to the forum guys. There is a lot of good information here. Many of us have been at this awhile and you can learn from our experiences. |

Welcome coin lover and pennies make me dizzy, I too am recently new to the site and I agree with Hoard copper by the ton. I have received some good advice from other forum users here and it's nice to exchange thoughts and bounce ideas around. Good luck getting started or expanding your collection. |
