At a real estate-contents auction this past weekend I saw a bag of 570 mixed wheat backs sell for $62.00 plus 10% buyers premium plus 8% State tax, after deducting the auctioneers 20% it is still a nice return. Save them separately in bulk and wait until you accumulate a large amount. There are always auctioneers looking for coin consignments.

To me that sounds quite high when all costs are factored in. You can probably find them for around 5-6 cents on each on Ebay on "usearched" lots.
Auctioneers like coin consignments because they know they will sell, and alot of times well over retail. So their royalty percentage/buyer's premium amounts put more money in their pockets. Every auction that I have been to that involved coins had heavy activity with coins going for alot more than they should.
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.
