Just had to throw up a quick post.Out of what is going to be my best/most exciting box yet,I just got 9 wheats!!!!!! and a total of 41 coppers in 1 roll.The wheats range from 192X(can't really see the last number,prob. a 2 ) 4 30's and 4 40's!!!!!!
The first roll I pulled from the box when I got it was 50 coppers!!!!!.The second roll had about 15 coppers,But I'm so excited I may have to finish this box tonight and it's already 3am

This is getting too good to be true and want to share with my fellow brethren.
I've opened 8 rolls so far 3 have been 100% CU and I've gotten 33 wheaties so far including a Steelie!!!!got 11 wheats in the last one,but alos alot of 07's.Go figure.I am going to be very tired in the morning and I keep finding myself looking for wheats and not the CU's!Is it to much to hope for an Indian?

Dang, another roll 14 wheats with 2 steels and that was after 6 straight 100% copper rolls .This has to be that once in a lifetime box,for 2008 that is.

Just finished the box.Took me about 2.5 hrs,boy that was kind of slow.I will only post the approx. finds as I need to go to sleep.
2500 pennies
I'll guess 1,800 yes I'm saying 75%+. At least 20 rolls were 100%
97 wheats!!!!!!!!! 4 steels and at least 40 under 1939.
About 40 82's
1 larger 1 penny coin.I think it's england or a territory.
I will post the official totals tom. as I'm sleepy

Also I'm going back to that bank Monday at 9am and see if they have anymore boxes.I'll even roll up some zincs if they need some on hand

| Congrats! I had a good box yesterday too (not as good as yours) but had over 54% copper total, with I think it was 37 wheats (normally I get about 10). One roll had 49 coppers in it. It sounds like both you and I found a portion of someone's old penny jar dump. By the way, where are you located? |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

Congrats on a great box misteroman! Great to hear that there are still plenty of wheats and coppers out there in the wild. Put those 82's on a scale so you can get a true copper % on your box. Bet they are almost all copper. And of course, get back to that bank first thing Monday morning and clean them out of pennies. Don't just take boxes of pennies.. take the loose rolls also. You might also consider buying any other rolled coin they have.. halves, quarters, dimes and nickels. There is a chance you could make a major silver strike.

Surely that 192X is the rare 22 plain variety with the last 2 of the die being filled with grease. Much rarer than the regular 22 plain coin.  |

I had my buddy grade it a an Awful .05.Didn't even get to poor-1.I'm not even going to count these,just weigh them and throw them in the bucket.
