I wish I had seen it before bidding ended. Nickel is currently at $12.41 a pound. Even with the $4.99 shipping I could have bid $7.41 and paid only spot price for a pound of pure nickel.
Was your friend the seller?
If so, ebay offers free relisting if you item doesn't sell. Tell him to relist it and post a link to the auction here...I bet it would get a couple of bids.
My mistake, when I looked at the auction the first time I guess I wasn't paying enough attention, I thought it didn't sell.
The seller probably thinks I am a moron because I sent him a message through the ebay system to come here and post a link to the auction if he decides to relist.
