Solar Panels To Support Demand For Silver February 10, 2011 7:01 PM EST

Trading in the silver market in 2010 was volatile, with prices struggling to break US$19.00 per ounce for much of the year but racing higher in the final months to push above US$30.00 per ounce on the back of strong investment demand.
The actions of investors are continuing to drive the price trajectory of silver according to Barclays Capital, but the group notes when this interest wanes trading in the metal will again be driven by industrial demand. ....................................

At the end of the article they predict silver down into the 20s because of a lack of investment demand. Investment demand could fall off of a cliff, I have seen it happen before. But they failed to provide good reasons why that is likely to happen soon in the article. Remember, investors buy silver for its industrial growth potential too. The start of this article gives a good reason why.

One word...China!
This article does not take into account the fact that China is year over year doubling its PV cell use as it intends to utilize solar energy. It also fails to mention the amount of silver being taken off the table by china reducing its exports.
