I just noticed on CL that a couple people around the US are buying junk silver at 14x Face. Is anyone selling their holdings? Or would you sell your junk silver (non-numismatic dates) for this price?
Just trying to gauge someone elses opinion besides mine. If i had more i'd probably sell some now. That's my thoughts on the subject.

The market maker on Bullion Direct is paying 13.7X face (less the 1% commission) for 90%; 13.8X for halves. Tulving is paying spot-59c for $1000 bags of 90%, 13.7X also. I sort of stopped buying junk SILVER when I had to pay 13X face. However, I bought a bunch of 90% in 2009 when the going rate was as low as 9X-10X (I hope you did too), which we're not going to again I think. 
I don't think I'll ever sell my SILVER. It's kind of my old age "economic crisis" insurance. |

You're much too conservative, Jon  100x face would only be $142.85 an ounce, and it will go up multiples higher than that, my prediction being within five years we'll see over $600 an ounce for silver. The salient question remains... what will it buy at that time? I'm hoping we'll see a significant rise first without needing the goad of excess liquidity to drive the value up. Maybe just a collapse of COMEX after having to cover their shorts with physical instead of paper? |
